Jillian Barlow - Brooklyn Bridge Shoot
One of my favorite things about this industry is the relationships we build. The friendship with this girl actually started back when I worked at Starbucks originally and when she was heading into senior year and called me for senior photos I wanted to make sure she was taken care of. After high school Jillian went on to NYC for college. Flash forward two years later (literally, to the day) and I just happened to be traveling to NYC for an engagement session and couldn't resist calling on Jillian to connect for a styled portrait session. Her very literal response was "Im so down."
We decided to meet up on the iconic Brooklyn Bridge for a sunrise session... lets just say we couldn't have made a better decision. We ended up wandering around the city for about 4 1/2 hours and wrapped up near central park before we split ways. This shoot will go down as one of my favorite shoots and sets of photos, not only because they turned out gorgeous and they were taken in my favorite city at one of my favorites landmarks; but moreso because Jillian has since become one of our great friends. Megan and her mom have even gotten extremely close since. We absolutely love the relationships we form in this business!
